Welcome Back, We've MISSED YOU!!

Alaska A Cappella U is celebrating 12 years of a cappella music! This Alaskan event is for young women and men in middle and high school to explore the excitement and joy of a cappella singing. This one day music festival will focus on the exciting elements of the modern barbershop art form: singing four-part a cappella harmony in the style of musical theater.  The grand finale will be a performance by the festival chorus on the Alaska Sound Celebration Fall Show.   This experience is a mixed chorus, the girls and guys blend their voices together for this wonderful a cappella event!

Special Guests - Titanium

Our special guests this year bring so much experience to AAU.  They are the Sweet Adelines 2022 2nd place International Silver Medalists. Check out their website here.  These amazing singers will be be working with both our chorus during the day, and they are special guests on the Alaska Sound Celebration Fall Show that night.   We are very excited to welcome them to AAU!

TIMES:
Workshop is 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Dinner and show prep runs from 5:00 to 7:00 pm
Show is 7:30 to 9:30 pm

SHOWTIME: 
Invite your family and friends to see you perform! The show will be held in the Discovery Theatre at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at centertix.net.

REGISTRATION FEE:
$35.00 per singer and includes festival, music, lunch and dinner, and an AAU
t-shirt. Registration deadline is Monday, October 24, 2022.  A $10.00 late fee will be charged for registration after 10/24/2022.  Register early!  This event will be closed at 75 participants. Please note that if a registered singer is unable to attend, her registration is transferrable to another singer, but is not refundable.
